Review of: Department of State. 1946. The Jews of Poland Since the Liberation. Intelligence Report, United States Government.
THIS MEDIA-BALLYHOOED POST-WWII U. S. GOVERNMENT REPORT, ON (WHAT ELSE?) “POLISH ANTI-SEMITISM”, HAS COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. THE PROOF.
This report, originally written in 1946 during the time of the unmentioned Communist subjugation of Poland, was declassified in 1983, and nothing was said about it. Now, 36 years later, the media is, lo and behold, doing cartwheels over it just in time with the .S447 attempted Holocaust Industry shakedown of Poland.
This report was highlighted, for example, by Tamara Zieve in the March 1, 2018 issue of the JERUSALEM POST. Contrary to her article, the reader should realize that it was Zionist “emigrational propaganda”, and not Polish anti-Semitism or pogroms, that drove most Holocaust-surviving Jews from Poland. WHODUNIT?
The author or authors of this report, which relies primarily on off-the-cuff statements and newspaper reports for its anti-Polish accusations, is/are conveniently anonymous. A clue: There were not a few pro-Communist elements in President Roosevelt’s circle. It shows! Some examples in this report:
WORDS OF WISDOM FROM THE MOUTH OF “UNCLE JOE” STALIN
“Anti-Semitism reached such dimensions in the Polish Army under General Wladyslaw Anders that many Jewish soldiers felt compelled to desert those forces and seek enlistment with other Allied armies.” (p. 23).
Such unvarnished Communist propaganda! And this report is supposed to be credible. Well, if it serves Jewish-victimization, anti-Polish purposes, then and now, why not? [The canned Communist accusations against General Anders have long since been debunked. For instance, see GENERAL ANDERS, by Jewish author Harvey Sarner.]
THE MANY OTHER FINGERPRINTS OF COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA IN THIS REPORT. GEORGE ORWELL WOULD FEEL VINDICATED
“Anti-Semitism, a traditional feature of Polish political and economic life, has appeared again. A tool of some forces seeking to unseat the present leftist regime, the movement has flared up in a number of violent incidents.” (p. i).
Note the gratuitous editorializing about Polish anti-Semitism, and note the Orwellian palliative (“present leftist regime”) for the Soviet-imposed Communist puppet government that was already murdering tens of thousands of Poles. Nor a peep about that.

“For a considerable period the Government appeared unable to halt the attacks upon Jews—or, for that matter, upon-non-Jews, some of whom were also attacked by right-wing forces operating clandestinely in the country.” (p. 2).
Note the Orwellian Communist terminology for Polish freedom fighters (“right wing forces”). They are blamed for the violence, while it is the Communists, in accordance with their modus operandi, that are the actual drivers of violence—and par excellence.
Also note the “operating clandestinely in the country” phrase. It conveniently avoids the fact that a civil war was going on in Poland at the time. It subtly implies that the Soviet-imposed Communist government is legitimate and permanent, while the Polish freedom fighters are neither.

“In the jockeying for political preference in Poland after 1919, most of the major political parties—with the exception of the leftist groups—followed an anti-Semitic line.” (p. 4).
We get it. Leftists are the good guys. Non-leftists are the bad guys.

“In 1934, young nationalist Poles with a German orientation broke away from the older National Democratic Party…” (p. 4; See also p. 22).
A flat lie. At no time did the ONR follow a “German orientation”. This is yet another attempt to smear Polish patriots, old and new, as Nazis or virtual Nazis. Remember Guy Verhofstadt.

“The effect of this intransigence was to retain the semi-feudalistic and backward features of the agricultural economy…” (p. 5).
Here we go again. The big, bad, privileged Polish landlord that comes straight out of the Communist playbook.

“See Brant’s ‘Eyewitness in Poland…’” (p. 11, footnote 3).
Brant was a Communist, hardly an objective observer and writer.

“…there is evidence that Poles persecuted the Jews as vigorously as did the Germans during the occupation.” (p. 22).
Wow! So Nazi Germany murdered 6 million Jews, and now “there is evidence” that Poles implicitly also murdered 6 million Jews. Just what exactly is the evidence for this amazing assertion, and just where can it be found? On Mars?
Those who today engage in German guilt dilution, and attempt to shift the blame for the Holocaust from Germans to Poles, must be very happy.

FASCIST! FASCIST! FASCIST!
“The opposition ranks include extremist elements which represent a pro-fascist attitude…” (p. 25).
Why, yes. If you’re not a Communist, or other leftist, then you must be a fascist! Fact is, the Polish freedom fighters, the ZOLNIERZE WYKLECI, had just been through a war in which they had fought Fascism. Wanting more fascism was the last thing on their minds.

“At the same time they [the Jews] cannot overlook the fact that Mikolajczyk’s party draws upon the support of extreme rightist and fascist groups in Poland…” (p. 28).
Once again, a transparent Communist attempt to attach the odor of fascism to the validly-existing, freedom-supporting Polish Government in Exile, this time to its chief representative.

A PROFUSION OF FACT-FREE ACCUSATORY EDITORIAL COMMENTS: A BRIEF SELECTION
“Life for the Polish Jews was, however, constantly hampered by an anti-Semitism…” (p. 2).
Wrong. Jews, as a whole, were better off than most Poles. That is why discriminatory policies (e. g, the numerus clausus at universities) was necessary to rein-in Jewish privilege, just as it had to be in other nations (yes, including the USA).

“Because anti-Semitism had already become so ingrained in Polish thought…” (p. 6).
Really? Imagine someone writing, “Because perfidy and greed had already become so ingrained in Jewish thought…” How would that fly?

“…it has been suggested that one of the reasons for the current anti-Jewish acts in Poland is the fact that Poles resent and resist the efforts to restore property to the original Jewish owners.” (p. 12).
“It has been suggested” is an insinuation, not a fact. And this old Communist insinuation has now found a new home among the aptly-named neo-Stalinists (e. g, Jan T. Gross and his fans in academia and media) and especially among the Holocaust Industry. No wonder this lame report is nowadays being so hyped!

“Several Jews were connected with the London Government-in-Exile, but their presence was overshadowed by the anti-Semitic elements which were also affiliated with that government.” (p. 20, Footnote 1).
Gratuitous slurs, directed against the Polish Government in Exile in London, which was the ONLY lawful Polish government during the Nazi German occupation, is such a standard practice of Communist propaganda that it is almost as predictable as sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening.
