Number 432 Remembers – Video Documentary

Marian Kołodziej was a prisoner of the German concentration camp Auschwitz, from the first day of its existence, from June 14, 1940. He fought for survival every day for 5 years. For the next 50 years, he did not want to discuss what had happened in captivity. At the beginning of the 1990s, as a result of a serious illness, he felt the power of the words of the poet Zbigniew Herbert: “You have little time, you have to give testimony.”

A series of drawings and paintings was created – “Memory Images. Labyrinths.” The video presents the powerful images that give testimony to the horrors the author experienced.

Producers: Magdalena Wojton and Bogdan Zalewski – RMF FM radio
